In the region of Trento, lies a small family-owned winery that makes less than 10 000 bottles per year. Paolo Malfer and his sons are paving the way for Trento Champagne-method Sparkling wines. From an early age of 16, Paolo was so passionate about sparkling wines. When he left school, he decided to dedicate the next 33 years to study and focus on how to produce sparkling wines that rival the quality of Champagne. Each year, he refines his technique so as to fulfil his obsession to make the perfect sparkling wine. His son, Giacomo is now spearheading the movement to put Trento Sparkling wines on the world map. Their wines are considered one of the best bubblies in their region.
